A fantastic demonstration of the Ribera del Duero from Burgos, with its extreme climate, altitudes of more than 800 metres above sea level and vineyards over 30 years old.

This wine has a superb balance between minerality, fruit, freshness and complexity.

Tasting Notes

NOSE
Full-bodied, well presented, with many nuances, especially fruity, fine ageing tones. Reminiscent of wild fruits (endrin), minerals (iron) and lowland (aromatic herbs, balsamic tones of pine nuts), discreet touches of ageing (fine woods), tobacco leaf background.
MOUTH
Well-structured in the mouth, medium-high body and good tannic structure, with a feeling of firmness but without rustic touches, well balanced in acidity, intensity and body, with a full and raised centre, noble strength, flavourful, broad and suggestive aromas in the mouth, with a prominence of varietal traits leading to a long and refined aftertaste.
GASTRONOMY
A classy Ribera, with energy, suitable for regional pairing, mainly with roasts but also with stews (casseroles), tasty rice dishes, small game birds (especially pigeon, stewed partridge), fried suckling pig and legumes (haricot beans with partridge), regional cheeses (Zamorano), made with cow’s milk or mixed and semi-cured.
